Getting to The Dona Lola Club

There are regular flights to Malaga from UK international airports. The Doña Lola Club resort is around 35 km from the airport. A taxi from the airport will cost around €55. A lower cost option might be public transport, there is a regular train service from the airport to Fuengirola – see Malaga Airport website for details – and from Fuengirola Train Station you can either  get a taxi or catch the Marbella bus that passes the Doña Lola resort.

As an alternative we suggest you consider arranging a transfer through Ruby Blue Travel 0r through Shuttle Direct (set destination as Macdonald Dona Lola Club).

The Club address is:

Macdonald Doña Lola Resort, Carretera de Cadiz-Malaga, Km 197/8, 29649 Mijas Costa, Malaga

Renting a car is an alternative option. You can hire online or via the resort or the Macdonald Resorts website. There are numerous car rental companies – both International names and local – based at and near the airport. When comparing quotes watch out for unexpected additional fees for fuel, insurance, etc.

To drive to the Dona Lola Club from Malaga Airport, take the A-7 (AP-7) road towards Fuengirola and Algeciras, then continue on the A-7, staying in the right hand lane at junction 214 where the A-7 leaves the AP-7. After about 15km, you will reach Calahonda.

GPS coordinates: 36º29,16.47″N 4º42,42.46″W

Take the exit to “Sitio de Calahonda” and take the first exit at the roundabout into Calle de las Posta and drive through the underpass. Re-join the A-7, staying in the right hand lane, and you will see the entrance to the Dona Lola Club.

If you take the toll road AP-7 you need to take the Calahonda turning which will bring you to the same roundabout, and follow the directions above.
