A. All facilities are available free of charge to Macdonald Resorts Points Club and Macdonald Vacation Club Members and other guests occupying Dona Lola Club and Macdonald Resorts apartments.
Q. How do I exchange into Dona Lola from a non-Macdonald timeshare Club?
A. The Dona Lola Club is affiliated to RCI and Interval International or you can exchange through Dial an Exchange (DAE) see the exchange page for more information.
Q. How do I exchange Dona Lola Resort points through RCI, Interval International or DAE?
A. First of all reserve your holiday week and then contact your exchange company. Contact Member Services for more information.
Q. How can I become a member of the MRL Dona Lola Resorts Points Club?

Q. Can I rent out my holiday week?
A. Yes. Macdonald Resorts Limited offers an owner rental programme – see the Club Information Portal for more information. Alternatively you can rent your week(s) privately or via an independent timeshare rental agent – but do check that they are reputable and comply with any Spanish holiday rental regulations.

Q. Can I purchase a timeshare fixed week at the Dona Lola Club?
A. No, The Dona Lola Club is now a Points Club offering flexibility and other benefits to existing and new Members. See the Sales page for further information about membership of the Dona Lola Points Club.
Q. How can I check availability and cost of renting an apartment?
Q. I am renting an apartment that is on the Dona Lola complex but owned privately, what facilities are available to me?
A. There are a number of privately owned apartments at the Dona Lola Club and the community adjacent to the resort. These may not be maintained or furnished to the same standard as Club apartments and not all Club facilities and activities may be available to those renting them. Always check with the owner before renting. The Doña Lola Club cannot accept any responsibility for any issues arising from private rentals.
Q. What are the check-in/check-out times at the Dona Lola Club? What if I arrive on an early flight?
A. Check in 1700 hrs Checkout 1000 hrs. If you arrive early – or have a late flight home you can store your luggage in the porter’s lodge and are welcome to enjoy all of the resort facilities until your apartment is ready.
Q. How expensive is a taxi from Malaga Airport to the Doña Lola resort?
A. See the Resort Directions page for details of taxis and alternatives including shuttle transfers and public transport.
Q. Can I get to the resort by train?
A. There is a regular train service from Malaga Airport to Fuengirola where you can get a taxi or bus to the Doña Lola resort. See the Resort Directions page.

Q. Can I book additional accommodation for my friends who would like to come to Dona Lola when we are there?

Q. What laundry/ironing facilities are there?
A. The resort has a launderette for the use of guests and all apartments have irons and ironing boards.
Q. Can a babies cot be provided?
A. Yes, please reserve this when you complete your pre-arrival form.

A. A kids’ club for children aged five and above is offered during UK school holiday periods.
Q. Is smoking allowed in apartments?
A. No smoking is allowed in any Dona Lola Club or Macdonald Resorts apartments. A charge will be made for additional cleaning and fumigation required as a result of failure to comply with this ruling. Smoking is allowed on balconies/terraces but we request that you are considerate to guests in neighbouring apartments.
Q. Are pool towels provided?
A. Club apartments are provided with distinctly coloured pool towels for all guests. The white bath towels should not be taken to the pools.
Q. What activities will be organised when we visit the resort?
A. Activities vary from week to week and according to season but normally include trips, wine tasting, Spanish lessons, fitness activities. See the Resort Activities page. A Kids Club operates during the main school holidays and is available free of charge to Dona Lola Club Members and other guests occupying Dona Lola Club and Macdonald Resorts apartments only. Evening entertainment is offered on site by La Plaza Beach Restaurant (programme varies depending on season.
Q. Is Wi-Fi Internet access available in my apartment?
A. Wi-Fi and high speed broadband is available free of charge in all Dona Lola Club and Macdonald Resorts apartments and at the pool and bar areas. Obtain log-in details from Reception.
Q. Can I bring my dog on holiday with me?
A. No – Pets are not allowed at the Dona Lola Club. A charge will be made for additional cleaning required as a result of non-compliance.
Q. What is the best way to hire car?
A. Contact the resort reception or book on line see the Getting Around page.
Q. Will supermarkets be open when I arrive?
A. Nearby Supermarkets are open until late on Saturday but most are closed or only open for restricted hours on Sunday. There are two mini-markets near the resort entrance that are open 7 days a week. Why not order a groceries welcome pack? This can be ordered when completing your pre-arrival form.
